Which universities have no application fee for international students?

I've heard there are some universities that don't charge application fees for international students. Can someone share which universities these are, especially in Europe or the USA? Any insights on their admission process would be great too!

The application fees can sometimes be a significant barrier, but you're correct in noting that there are a number of universities around the world, including in the U.S. and Europe, that do not charge these fees for international students.

Starting with the U.S., here are a few examples:

- Carleton College: Located in Minnesota, this liberal arts college is known for its high academic standards. The admission process is holistic, evaluating academic achievement, extracurricular involvement, and personal qualities.

- Loyola University Chicago: Known for its programs in Health Sciences, Loyola University Chicago waives the fee for both domestic and international students. Their admissions process scrutinizes academic achievement, commitment to community service, and leadership potential.

- Marquette University: This is a medium-sized university located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Known for its commitment to community service and programs in Health Sciences, Marquette also waives application fees for international students. They look at your academic potential, involvement in extracurricular activities, and commitment to the community during admissions.

Over to Europe, there are numerous universities in Germany, Sweden, and Norway that do not ask for an application fee from international students. However, you should be aware that many of these courses are taught primarily in their native languages (although there are still ample offerings in English at the graduate level).

It's also important to understand that while these universities might not have application fees, there may be other expenses associated with applying to international universities, like transcript translation and sending, international shipping costs, or visa processing fees.

Lastly, remember that each university can have its own unique application and admissions process. It's important to go to their specific websites and look under the 'admissions' or 'prospectus' sections to get comprehensive and up-to-date details on their process and requirements.

Remember, finding a school that is a good fit for you in terms of academics, culture, and financial aspects is more important than just considering the application fee!
