What are the scholarship opportunities for Delaware college students?

I'm considering some colleges in Delaware and wanted to know what scholarship opportunities are out there for students attending college in the state. Any specific ones I should look into?

Indeed, Delaware provides some solid grant and scholarship opportunities specifically for residents studying in the state.

Starting with the Delaware State Scholarship Program, the state offers a pretty significant number of scholarships for students going to colleges in Delaware. For instance, there's the Scholarship Incentive Program (ScIP), which provides awards to undergraduate students with demonstrated financial need, and who are also Delaware residents attending a Delaware college.

Another one is the Charles L Hebner Memorial Scholarship, awarded to outstanding students in the humanities. The recipient of this award is chosen by the Delaware Higher Education Office.

You should also look into the B. Bradford Barnes Memorial Scholarship, which is a full-tuition grant given to Delaware students attending the University of Delaware full-time. Students studying areas like business, management, chemistry, physics, engineering, medical technology, or nursing could also benefit from the Herman M. Holloway, Sr. Memorial Scholarship, which offers full-time tuition, fees, room, board, and books at Delaware State University.

To be eligible for most state scholarships, you do need to be a Delaware resident and a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen, as well as have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Please also check out the information on Appily, where you can look up scholarships specifically for students in Delaware and filter by your grade level, interests, and more. Remember, it's never too early or too late to start looking for scholarships! Good luck in your search.
