Are there scholarships for college available for recovering alcoholics?

I've been working on my recovery and am considering going to college. Do any organizations offer scholarships specifically for people like me who've been through recovery?

Certainly, there are a number of scholarships specifically designed to assist students who have battled addiction and are currently in recovery. One example is the Ammon Foundation Scholarship. The Ammon Foundation provides financial scholarships to individuals in addiction recovery who are pursuing education in fields such as counseling, social work, or any other field that assists with addiction treatment and recovery.

The Association of Recovery in Higher Education (ARHE) also provides scholarships for students in recovery, as well as resources for creating and maintaining collegiate recovery programs.
