Texas scholarships for future college students?

I'm interested in attending college in Texas and I'm on the lookout for scholarships. Can anyone share information about scholarships available for students planning to study in Texas?

If you're planning to attend college in Texas, there are many scholarships available to help cover your cost of education.

One of the most well-known scholarships for Texas students is the Terry Foundation Scholarship. This is a full-ride scholarship available to high-school seniors in Texas who plan to attend one of the Terry-affiliated Texas public universities. The scholarship is heavily based on leadership, character, and financial need.

Another great opportunity is the Forty Acres Scholars Program. This is a prestigious, highly competitive scholarship for students accepted into the University of Texas at Austin. It covers full tuition, fees, a living stipend, and money for study abroad or internships.

The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Scholarship is another program that offers several different types of scholarships to Texas students, some of which are based on academic achievement and leadership, and others which are specifically for students involved in 4-H or FFA.

For a broad list of scholarships, Appily (formerly Cappex, in case you've seen this name before) is a good resource. This platform allows you to create a profile and get matched to scholarships you may be eligible for.

Remember to also check with individual colleges, as many have their own scholarships available to incoming students.
