Are there good liberal arts colleges with criminal justice majors?

I'm interested in studying criminal justice but would love the benefits of a liberal arts education. Does anyone know of liberal arts colleges that have strong criminal justice programs or majors? Any recommendations would be super helpful!

Absolutely, there are several liberal arts colleges that offer strong programs in criminal justice.

One example is St. Anselm College in New Hampshire. St. Anselm's Criminal Justice Department provides a well-rounded curriculum focused on real-world applications of criminal justice theories, encouraging deep understanding of the field.

Moravian College in Pennsylvania offers a criminal justice major through its Sociology and Anthropology department. The program emphasizes critical thinking and the interdisciplinary study of crime and justice.

Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut, is another option to consider. Known as a "College of Social Studies," it is an interdisciplinary program that combines areas of study like Government, History, Economics, and Social Theory, which can provide a good foundation for someone keen on Criminal Justice.

Lastly, Albright College in Pennsylvania has a unique program that allows you to create an individualized course of study. You could essentially design your major around criminal justice by integrating courses from disciplines such as Sociology, Criminology, and Political Science.

This list is not exhaustive, and it's always important to research and look at more than just the availability of the major. You’ll want to consider factors like class sizes, faculty experiences, internships opportunities, post-graduate opportunities, and overall fit with the college’s social and academic culture. Always consider your individual interests and career goals.
