Majors Available at University of Wisconsin

I'm thinking about the University of Wisconsin for college and would love to know more about the different majors they offer. Are there any unique or standout programs I should look into while researching my options?

University of Wisconsin–Madison offers a wide range of undergraduate majors across various fields. The most popular majors include Biology, Economics, and Psychology, but they firmly commit to fostering diverse interests and have a list of around 232 majors for undergraduates.

I'd say one unique aspect of the University of Wisconsin is its agricultural programs. The School of Agriculture and Life Sciences is remarkably strong – with programs in fields like Dairy Science, Horticulture, and Forest Science among others. If you have an interest in Environmental Science, their in-depth programs in this area might be worth checking out as well.

Beyond the realm of agriculture, if you're interested in healthcare, consider the Nursing program which is renowned for creating well-prepared professionals. If Business is where your heart lies, you would find their Real Estate and Urban Land Economics program, offered by the Wisconsin School of Business, to be unique. It's ranked among the top undergraduate real estate programs in the U.S.

Finally, if you're more inclined toward the humanities, Wisconsin's excellent and expansive History department could be the place for you. This department is especially known for its commitment to areas like Gender and Women’s Studies and Jewish Studies.

All this being said, it's important to consider which fields you're particularly interested in and find the programs that align with those. Detailed information about all the offered majors, minors, and certificates can be found directly on the University of Wisconsin's school website. Happy researching!
