Acceptable calculators for SAT

Hi everyone! I've got an upcoming SAT exam, and I know that I need a calculator for the math section. Can anyone here give me a rundown of the acceptable calculator types allowed for the test? I want to make sure I bring the right one. Thanks a lot!

Hello! It's a good idea to make sure you have an acceptable calculator for the SAT exam. The College Board allows the usage of four types of calculators during the SAT math section:

1. Graphing calculators, such as the TI-83 or TI-84 series.

2. Scientific calculators, which usually include buttons for common math functions like sin, cos, and tan.

3. Four-function calculators that provide addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

4. Some recent models of calculators with internet access, like the TI-Nspire CX II.

It's essential to note that calculators with QWERTY keyboards, stylus input, or the capability to run external apps aren't allowed. Make sure to double-check your calculator's features to ensure it complies with these requirements.

For the most up-to-date information on calculator requirements, I would suggest visiting the College Board's website: https://satsuite.collegeboard.org/sat/what-to-bring-do/calculator-policy

Good luck with your SAT exam!
