What's the acceptance rate like for ASU?

I'm considering applying to Arizona State University and I'm trying to gauge how competitive it is to get in. Does anyone know what their current acceptance rate is or how selective they might be?

The acceptance rate at Arizona State University (ASU) can vary somewhat from year to year, mainly because the number of applicants fluctuates. But overall, the acceptance rate has been consistently quite high compared to many other universities. For the most recent admissions cycle, ASU reported an acceptance rate of approximately 89%.

That said, the acceptance rate isn't the only factor to consider when trying to gauge how competitive it is to gain admission. It's important to also take into account other factors like the test scores and grades of admitted students, as these can give you a better sense of what ASU is looking for academically.

For instance, the middle 50% SAT score for admitted students ranges from 1100 to 1320, and for the ACT, it ranges from 22 to 28. Meanwhile, the average high school GPA of admitted students is about 3.54.

Remember, though, that these are just averages and ranges—they're not cut-offs, and there are students who are admitted with scores and grades both above and below these ranges. Nevertheless, these figures should give you a general idea of the academic standards at ASU.
