Any experience with simple scholarships for college?

I've heard some scholarships don't require a lot of effort to apply for. Are there really simple ones that have minimal requirements? How can I find these opportunities, and are they worth it?

Sure, there are indeed many scholarships that are relatively simple to apply for, usually requiring just basic personal information or a simple essay. For a start, you can optimize your search by using online search engines such as Appily or College Board's Scholarship Search, and filtering for scholarships with minimal requirements.

Here are a few examples of 'easy' scholarships:

1. The "No Essay" College Scholarship by Niche: It is a monthly scholarship that students are entered into just by creating a free profile on the site. There is no essay requirement for this!

2. The ScholarshipPoints $10,000 Scholarship: This scholarship provides points to students who participate in program activities like reading blogs, taking surveys, etc. These points are entered into regular drawings for scholarships, so the more you participate, the better your chances!

3. The $2,000 "No Essay" Scholarship by College Prowler: All that’s needed to apply for this scholarship is to fill out an online registration form.

Keep in mind though, that because these "easy" scholarships typically require less time and effort, they will likely also be more competitive as more students will apply. Therefore, it can be beneficial to tackle the more labor-intensive scholarships as well, as they can scare off many potential applicants, thus increasing your chances if you are willing to put in the work.

Scholarships can significantly help in funding your education and reducing your student debt, so they're worth investing your time in, as little or as much as you can spare. Best of luck!
