Looking for great nursing programs at the undergraduate level

Nursing is my passion and I'm trying to find undergraduate programs that are well-respected. What are some of the great nursing programs out there? Any personal experiences with their clinical rotations or faculty would be appreciated!

While I don't have personal experiences in nursing programs, I can definitely highlight a few recognized undergraduate programs based on their reputation and the experiences shared by many students.

1. University of Pennsylvania (UPenn) offers a Bachelor of Science in Nursing that consistently ranks as one of the top nursing programs in the nation due to its rigorous academics, extensive clinical placements, and diverse research opportunities. They have a simulation lab that provides practical hands-on experience which many students have found valuable in their learning.

2. Johns Hopkins University is another esteemed university known for its nursing program. Their School of Nursing offers a BSN program that provides students with the opportunity to work with faculty who are leading innovative research, and students get to participate in placements across a wide spectrum of healthcare settings.

3. Duke University has a highly regarded nursing program that combines classroom instruction with clinical work. Duke University Hospital is one of the best in the nation, providing nursing students with a wealth of opportunities to gain experience in different nursing subfields.

4. University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) offers a Bachelor of Science in Nursing program that has a strong clinical component and opportunities for research with prominent faculty members. Students have mentioned the robust and diverse opportunities for clinical rotations in the Los Angeles area as a key strength of this program.

It's crucial to consider not just the university's reputation, but also how well the specific program fits your personal career goals and needs. Look into their curricula, the faculty's areas of expertise, research opportunities, and even the location — as that influences your clinical rotations. Good luck with your search!
