What can I expect from Virginia Western in Roanoke?

I'm considering starting my college journey at Virginia Western in Roanoke. Does anyone know what the academic programs are like? How about the campus culture or student life? I'd love to hear any experiences or recommendations.

Virginia Western Community College is a two-year institution known for its strong ties to the community and large suite of associate's degree programs and certificate options. Many students often enroll with plans to transfer to a four-year university, due to its affiliation with the Virginia Community College System that provides easy transitions to other schools in the state.
