Bowling Green State University, often known simply as BGSU, is a vibrant campus located in Bowling Green, Ohio. The university is not too small and not too big with about 18,800 undergraduate and graduate students.

One of the significant factors about BGSU is its sense of community. The campus has a welcoming atmosphere where students are made to feel at ease and a part of the larger BGSU community. It's common to see students wearing BGSU gear on the campus and around town, reflecting their pride in the university.

In terms of student activities, BGSU offers a wide range of options for just about everyone and it's brimming with opportunities. Sports are quite popular on campus, with strong support for the school's NCAA Division I athletics. The school has over 300 clubs and organizations that range from academic societies to special interest groups, service clubs, and Greek life.

The highlight of BGSU's student activities is perhaps the Student Recreation Center which is a popular spot for students. It offers an Olympic-sized pool, several racquetball courts, a rock-climbing wall, and other fitness equipment.

BGSU hosts numerous events year-round, including the annual fest series (Fall and Spring), which are major highlights for students. Spring Fest, for example, is a highly anticipated event where students celebrate the end of the academic year with live music, food, and activities.

A unique aspect at BGSU is the Kuhlin Center, home to the School of Media and Communication. It features a state-of-the-art broadcast studio and multimedia production suites. Thus, if you're into television or radio production, this will be a great place for you.

When it comes to housing, most first-year students live on campus in one of the 15 residence halls, ensuring that there's a tight-knit community feel.

It's also worth mentioning that the town of Bowling Green itself adds a lot to the college experience. It's a small, student-friendly town with a variety of shops, cafes, and eateries. Being a college town, many events are tailored to students, like the Black Swamp Arts Festival, a fall tradition in Bowling Green.

Overall, students tend to agree that life at Bowling Green State University provides a balance of academics, fun, and community, with plenty of extracurricular options to cater to a wide array of interests.
