Any scholarships for high schoolers with significant service hours?

I've dedicated a lot of my time to community service during high school, hoping it might lead to some scholarship opportunities. Does anyone know if there are specific scholarships for students with a lot of service hours in the USA?

Absolutely, there are several scholarships that recognize high school students for their community service:

1. Prudential Spirit of Community Awards: These awards are open to all middle and high school students in the US who have participated in volunteer activities in the last year. State honorees receive $1,000 and an all-expenses-paid trip to Washington, D.C. The top honorees from each state then compete for national honors, with one high school student and one middle school student being named the top volunteers in America – these two National honorees each receive $5,000.

2. The AXA Achievement Scholarship: This scholarship recognizes students who have demonstrated ambition, drive, determination to set and reach goals, respect for self, family and community, and ability to succeed in college. “Ambition and Drive” can certainly include service to others or to the community.

3. Bonner Scholars Program: This program offers a four-year community service scholarship to students attending participating colleges and universities across the country.

4. Ronald McDonald House Charities Scholarships: They offer several scholarship programs that recognize and reward the commitment to volunteer service among high school seniors.

These are just a few examples. When you are applying for these scholarships, make sure to highlight not only the fact that you've completed a significant amount of community service, but also discuss the impact of your service, what you've learned, and how it has shaped you as a person. Remember, it's often the quality, not the quantity, of your service that most interests scholarship committees.
