Any College Scholarships for Dysgraphia?

I'm a high school junior with dysgraphia and I'm concerned about college expenses. Are there scholarships or financial aid options specifically for students with learning disabilities like mine?

Certainly, there are scholarships and sources of financial aid specifically designed for students with learning disabilities like dysgraphia. Here are a few programs you might find interesting:

1. The Anne Ford Scholarship is a $10,000 award ($2,500/year over four years) offered by the National Center for Learning Disabilities for a graduating high school senior with a documented learning disability (LD) and/or ADHD who will be enrolled in a full-time bachelor’s degree program.

2. The P. Buckley Moss Endowed Scholarship is a renewable award for high school seniors with language-related learning disabilities who plan to pursue careers in visual arts.

Keep in mind that you may qualify for other scholarships based on your academic merit, other talents, or financial need. You should also consult your school's guidance department to see if your state or local community offers any scholarships for students with learning disabilities.

Remember to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) to see what federal aid you qualify for. Students with disabilities may receive additional support through grants and work-study programs.

Lastly, when you start looking at colleges, reach out to their disability services offices as they may offer additional resources or scholarships specifically for their students with learning disabilities. They may also offer other types of support, like tutoring or accommodations, that could help you in your studies.

Finding the right scholarship for you might take some time, but I encourage you to start early and apply to as many as possible!
