Any thoughts on Rutgers Camden campus life?

I'm thinking about attending Rutgers Camden and would love to hear about the campus environment. What are the class sizes, dorms, and student activities? Any tips for a potential new student would be awesome!

Rutgers Camden has a lot to offer, especially if you prefer a smaller, more intimate campus environment. As a medium-sized campus, Rutgers Camden can facilitate smaller class sizes, often under 30 students. This results in a more personalized educational experience where students can easily interact with professors and classmates alike, in comparison to colleges with larger class sizes.

As for dorm life, there are several options at Rutgers Camden. If you prefer a traditional residence hall style, there's the newly renovated traditional residence hall with shared bathrooms and study lounges. There are also apartment-style living options that include private bedrooms and full kitchens. Which is suitable for you would depend on your personal preference.

When it comes to student activities, Rutgers Camden is rich with options. There are over 40 clubs and organizations to join, in diverse fields such as arts, academia, culture, sports, and service. Many students at Rutgers Camden participate in school spirit events such as homecoming, and there's an active Greek life on campus as well.

One unique feature of Rutgers Camden is its location. The campus is situated in downtown Camden, which offers some urban appeal, and a vibrant arts culture, and is just a short commute from Philadelphia. This allows for a broader range of cultural experiences, internships, and job opportunities than a campus located in a purely suburban or rural setting.

Any new student tips? Well, I'd advise you to take full advantage of the small class size, establishing good relationships with your professors can lead to opportunities like research or internships. Also, do try to get involved in campus activities, as that's one of the best ways to make friends and feel part of the community. I hope you find this helpful, good luck with your decision-making process!
