What are the best art schools in Seattle?

I'm really into visual arts and considering moving to Seattle. I've heard that it has some great art schools. Does anyone have recommendations for top art colleges in the area? I'd love to know about their programs too.

Seattle has a vibrant arts scene and houses some highly-regarded art schools. Here are three you might want to consider:

1. Cornish College of the Arts: Cornish has a strong reputation in the sector and offers BFA degrees in fields like Art, Interior Architecture, Film, and Animation. The school's BFA in Art program allows students to explore various mediums such as printmaking, digital media, ceramics, and sculpture. Cornish encourages interdisciplinary learning, offering students the opportunity to take electives in other departments.

2. University of Washington: UW's School of Art + Art History + Design offers a BA in Art with concentrations in painting/drawing, interdisciplinarity visual arts, and 3D4M (ceramics + glass + sculpture). They also offer more specific BFAs in these areas. Outside of this program, there are also robust programs in Art History and Design.

3. Seattle University: At Seattle U, their Art and Art History department offers BA programs in both Art History and Visual Art with concentrations in several visual arts such as photography, digital design, painting, and drawing. The expansive curriculum and small class sizes foster an intimate and rich learning experience for their students.

These are just a few options in Seattle for pursuing a degree in visual arts. Remember, the best school is subjective and depends on what you're specifically looking to get out of your college experience. Consider factors such as faculty, resources, location, cost, alumni network, and the school's overall vibe when making a decision. Good luck!
