Anyone have insights on Queens University of Charlotte?

I'm curious about Queens University of Charlotte. If you've attended or visited, what was your impression? Looking for info on academics, clubs, and overall student experience. How does this college fit into Charlotte's community?

Queens University of Charlotte is a small, private university that offers a solid liberal arts education. In terms of academics, they offer more than 40 undergraduate majors and around 20 graduate programs. Their faculty-to-student ratio is quite low, which allows for personalized learning experiences and plenty of interaction between students and professors.

For clubs and extracurricular activities, there are approximately over 60 student organizations, including Boar’s Head Players, which is a student-led theater group, and Royals Media, a student-run media organization featuring opportunities in broadcasting, journalism etc. If you're interested in Greek life, there are a handful of fraternities and sororities on campus as well.

In terms of the link to the Charlotte community, the university is closely integrated with the city's professional and cultural opportunities. There's a program called the Internship & Career Management Center at Queens that connects students with many local businesses for internships and job opportunities, which could provide you with practical career experiences even before you graduate.

Overall, students often highlight the university’s close-knit community and the faculty’s dedication to the students' academic and personal success. Moreover, the campus itself is reported to be beautiful and the university's location in a residential neighborhood of Charlotte provides a vibrant, yet safe, surrounding area for students to explore. However, remember that fit is subjective, so I would recommend visiting if you can, or at least doing a virtual tour and connecting with current students or alumni. Try attending a virtual open house, or reaching out to admissions for a student or alumni contact.
