What are the ACT Science passage types?

Hey guys! I'm studying for the ACT Science section and I was wondering if anyone could explain the different types of passages that I should expect? I want to make sure I'm familiar with all possible passage types. Thanks in advance!

How's it going! There are three main types of passages you'll encounter:

1. Data Representation: These passages generally present information through graphs, charts, or tables. You'll need to interpret the data and answer questions based on your understanding of the information provided. Make sure to familiarize yourself with various types of graphs and how to read them.

2. Research Summaries: In these passages, you'll find descriptions of one or more scientific experiments, their procedures, and results. You'll need to understand the experimental design, relationships between variables, and draw conclusions based on the given information.

3. Conflicting Viewpoints: This type of passage presents differing perspectives or hypotheses regarding a particular scientific concept. You'll need to understand each viewpoint and answer questions that may require comparing or contrasting them.

As you practice, try to become comfortable with each type of passage and the questions associated with them. Good luck with your ACT Science preparation!
