Scholarship Opportunities at Case Western for International Students?

Hi! I'm an international student considering Case Western University. I'm curious about the scholarships available for international students. Are there specific requirements or tips for applying? Any insights would be super helpful!

Hey there! Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) provides a good variety of scholarships to outstanding international students. Most notably, the College of Arts and Sciences, the Case School of Engineering, and the Weatherhead School of Management all offer scholarships that are tailored to international students.

International applicants who are applying for freshmen admission are automatically considered for merit-based scholarships. These scholarships at CWRU are essentially tied to your application for admission, and as such, there's no separate scholarship application that you need to submit. To increase your likelihood of attracting a grant, focus on submitting a strong application in terms of your academic achievements and extracurricular involvement.

In addition to your academic achievement, the scholarships take into account service, leadership, character, and financial need. Clearly articulating these factors in your application will go a long way towards maximizing your chance of being awarded a scholarship.

In regards to need-based aid, CWRU is one of the few universities that extend need-based financial assistance to a select number of international students. You'll have to fill out the CSS Profile if you want to be considered for need-based aid.

As for the deadlines, be sure to complete your financial aid application by 15 February for the following fall semester. Keep in mind that meeting all relevant deadlines and providing accurate information is critical. Good luck with your applications!
