For those interested in Arts, the university has a renowned Creative Writing program (Iowa Writers' Workshop) which has been considered one of the best in the nation. Other programs in the arts include Music, Theater Arts, Dance, and Art.

In terms of unique programs, there's Actuarial Science which is a perfect fit for those comfortable with math and statistics and interested in applying them in a business context. The university's Leisure Studies, which focuses on the sociocultural and psychological understandings of leisure behavior, can also be considered a unique course of study.

However, you should remember that what matters most is how you align your educational ambitions with your future career goals. Try to consider what fields of study pique your curiosity, then investigate how those majors could potentially connect to a career pathway you'd enjoy. If you're unsure, consider setting up a meeting with a college advisor or counselor who can walk you through the various options and help you understand what might be the best fit for you. Remember, college is a time of exploration, and it's perfectly okay if you don't have it all figured out yet!
