What's the student population like at Florida Atlantic University?

I'm curious about the size of the student body at Florida Atlantic University. Is it a large campus with a big student population, or is it more on the smaller side? I'm trying to figure out what kind of environment it might be.

Florida Atlantic University (FAU) has a sizable student population. As of recent data, the total student body consists of over 30,000 students enrolled in various undergraduate and graduate programs. This places FAU within the larger bracket of universities in terms of student population.

However, while the student population is large, the sense of community can still be strong. Large universities like FAU often have a wealth of student organizations, clubs, and activities, which offer great opportunities for students to find their niche and connect with smaller, like-minded communities within the larger student body.

That being said, the environment at large campuses can feel quite different from smaller ones. There will likely be a larger variety of classes and majors available, and it might be common to encounter larger lecture-style classes, especially in common first and second year courses. Yet, there also are plentiful resources and opportunities due to the larger size.

Keep in mind that it also depends on the specific program of study - some departments might have fewer students and thus a smaller faculty-to-student ratio. It's always a good idea to visit a campus or connect with current students if possible to get a sense of whether the environment is a good fit for you.
