International student scholarships at Texas Christian University?

I'm planning to apply to Texas Christian University and want to learn more about the scholarships available for international students. Is there anyone who can share details on eligibility and application processes?

Hello! Texas Christian University (TCU) indeed offers scholarships for international students which can make your studies more affordable. A highly-competitive university, TCU provides scholarships that don't require an additional application; you are automatically considered upon applying for admission as an international student.

To explain further, the TCU Scholar Programs range in amounts from $1,000 per year to full tuition. These are awarded for four years (or up to five years for Architecture students) as long as you maintain satisfactory academic progress. The scholarship is renewable as long as the academic and, in some cases, other specific requirements (like participation in certain activities) are met.

Then there are the Chancellor’s Scholars Program awards which covers full tuition, books, and fees for up to 18 hours per semester. This scholarship program also includes funding for up to eight semesters of summer study abroad and up to eight funded internships.

Additionally, TCU also provides need-based aid and offers up to $20,000. To understand your expected costs, it would be wise to complete the Net Price Calculator, which provides an estimate of your Expected Family Contribution and resultant financial need.

Remember though, all these scholarships and financial aid options consider your admissions application, academic progress, accomplishments, financial need, and sometimes your extracurricular activities. Hence it's essential to maintain a strong academic record and actively participate in school and community activities where possible.

Best of luck with your application! Applying and potentially studying in a different country is a big step, and it's excellent that you're taking the time to understand all your tuition and financial aid options.
