Which universities offer the best scholarships for international students?

I'm an international student starting to look into U.S. colleges, and I'm curious about which universities are known for offering generous scholarships specifically for international students. Any recommendations or personal experiences would be super helpful!

There are quite a few U.S. universities that are known for their generous financial aid policies for international students.

Yale, for example, meets 100% of the demonstrated need for all students, including internationals. This means that they craft an aid package for you that should cover all your family's financial need. Similarly, Harvard's financial aid program pledges to meet 100% of demonstrated need, even for international students. Families who earn less than $65,000 annually are not expected to contribute to the cost of attendance.

MIT also meets the full need of all admitted students, including international. It's worth mentioning here that scholarships/grants make up the majority of financial aid packages with student contribution and work-study expectations, rather than loans.

Amherst College is also known for its commitment to meeting the full demonstrated need of all admitted students, including international students, making it one of the few need-blind colleges for international students.

Beyond these, the University of Chicago, Princeton, and Dartmouth are also understood to be generous towards their international students.

Remember, you should confirm these policies with each institute directly. Every institution may have its interpretation of what qualifies as "demonstrated need", so it's important to read the details and maybe even reach out to the financial aid office if you have any questions.
