What schools in the USA have international scholarships?

As an international applicant, I'm keen to know which U.S. universities have the best scholarship opportunities for students like me. A list or even personal experiences would be super helpful.

Many U.S. universities offer scholarship opportunities for international students on the basis of their extraordinary academic abilities or demonstrated need. I'll list out a few notable ones for you:

1. Harvard University: For families who earn less than $85,000 per year, Harvard requires no contribution to the cost of attendance. Even for those earning between $85,000 and $150,000 per year, the expected family contribution ranges from 0% to 10% of their annual income.

2. Yale University: Yale commits to meeting 100% of demonstrated financial need for all admitted students, and this includes international students.

3. Amherst College: This school is need-blind for all students, including internationals, and meets 100% of the student's demonstrated financial need.

4. MIT: Internationals follow the same financial aid process as domestic students, and MIT is dedicated to fully meeting students' demonstrated needs.

5. Princeton University: It has a need-blind admission policy, which means your ability to pay doesn’t affect admission decisions, and offers generous aid packages for all students who demonstrate need, including international students.

6. Vanderbilt University: Their merit-based scholarships are also open to international students. They particularly offer the Cornelius Vanderbilt Scholarship which can cover full tuition, plus a one-time summer stipend for study abroad, a research or service project.

While each school has its own distinct scholarship program, all of them work to attract top international students by leveling the financial playing field. I encourage you to research these, and other schools' scholarship programs, in more detail to find the right fit based on your needs. Always refer to the official financial aid pages on each college’s website for the most accurate and current information. Keep in mind, that meeting the academic criteria does not guarantee a scholarship, it’s always competitive.
