Which U.S. universities offer scholarships for international students?

I'm exploring my options for studying in the U.S. and would love to know which universities are known for offering a good number of scholarships to international students. Any recommendations or insights?

There are several U.S universities known for their scholarships available to international students:

1. Harvard University: The Harvard College Financial Aid program commits to meeting 100% of the demonstrated need for undergraduate students, and this includes international students too. They calculate a family contribution, and then your financial aid package covers the rest of the cost of attending.

2. MIT: MIT also meets the full demonstrated need for all admitted undergraduates, including those from outside the U.S. 90% of their students receive some form of financial aid.

3. University of Pennsylvania: UPenn also meets the full demonstrated need for undergraduate students, irrespective of their nationality.

4. Yale University: Just like Harvard, MIT, and UPenn, Yale too pledges to meet 100% of demonstrated financial need for all undergraduate students.

5. Duke University: Duke does provide need-based financial aid awards to a limited number of international students each year. As an international student, you may also be eligible for the International Recognition Program scholarships based on outstanding academic achievement, leadership, and community service.

Remember, these aren't the only schools that offer aid to international students, but they have established structures and systems in place to consistently support students from across the globe. Other schools including Stanford University, Dartmouth College, and the University of Southern California, amongst others, offer a mix of need- and merit-based aid.

However, each university’s terms and processes vary so it is important to research the financial aid page of each prospective university to better understand the specifics and deadlines related to applying for aid.
