Any insights on the University of New Hampshire?

I'm thinking about applying to the University of New Hampshire and would appreciate any insights. What's the campus like, and are there strong programs in environmental sciences or business?

The University of New Hampshire (UNH) is a strong public research institution best known for its programs in areas such as business and environmental sciences, which you mentioned.

Regarding the academic programs, the Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics is considered strong and has various degree options for students interested in business. Its business program focuses heavily on experiential learning giving students plenty of opportunities to gain real-world experience through internships, study abroad programs, and other initiatives.

On the environmental sciences front, UNH is among the top echelons. The university has a strong emphasis on sustainability and offers comprehensive programs in environmental conservation, wildlife management, and marine science through the School of Marine Science and Ocean Engineering and the College of Life Sciences and Agriculture.

As for the campus life, UNH's main campus in Durham is in a college town setting near the southeast tip of New Hampshire. Its proximity to both the ocean and mountains caters to a variety of recreational activities. There's a strong sense of community on campus, enhanced by a range of clubs, activities, and sports teams. The athletic culture is quite vibrant, with the college's teams competing in the NCAA Division I.

As with any college, it is essential that you do your research and even visit the campus if possible to see if it aligns with your personal and academic goals. A campus visit can give you a better feel of the college's atmosphere, the campus facilities, and the local community.
