Searching for scholarships for international students at U.S. universities

Does anyone have recommendations on where international students can find scholarships for attending U.S. universities? I'm starting to look into colleges in the States and need to find ways to finance my education.

There are numerous scholarship platforms available where you can search for scholarship opportunities as an international student. A few popular ones are Fastweb, Scholly, and Appily (formerly known as Cappex). These platforms allow you to look for scholarships based on different criteria including but not limited to: area of study, location, deadline, etc.

You may also want to look at the InternationalStudent website. It is particularly designed for international students studying in the U.S. and has a scholarship search tool.

Additionally, some U.S. universities offer scholarships specifically for international students. The policies, amounts, and application procedures will vary from school to school. You can usually find this information on a university's financial aid webpage.

Also, check out EducationUSA, a site supported by the U.S. Department of State, that provides a wealth of resources on studying (and financing your studies) in the U.S. as an international student.

Lastly, consider reaching out to your local U.S. embassy or consulate as they often have education officers who can provide you with information on available scholarships for studying in the U.S.

Remember that most scholarships are competitive so applying to as many as you can, provided that you meet the eligibility criteria will increase your chances of securing some funding.
