Davidson College Scholarships for International Students?

I'm an international student interested in applying to Davidson College. Does anyone know what kinds of scholarships for international students are available there? Any insight into the application process or how competitive they are would be super helpful!

Davidson College is committed to making education accessible for all students, regardless of their geography or financial circumstances. As an international student, you’ll be eligible for the same need-based financial aid that’s available to U.S. students. Davidson practices something called need-blind admissions, which means your financial need does not affect your chances of admission.

The college's financial aid program, collectively called The Davidson Trust, meets 100% of demonstrated financial need for all students, without packaging loans into any financial aid award. Only grants and work-study are offered. This means you do not have to pay back any part of your financial aid package.

To apply for financial aid, you'll need to submit two forms: the International Student Financial Aid Application (ISFAA) and the CSS Profile. Ensure you submit these by the required deadline.

In terms of competitiveness, Davidson is a highly selective school with robust applications each year. While this extends to the admissions process as a whole and not specifically to aid applicants, it does give an idea about the overall competitive environment at the college. However, remember that generosity of financial aid does not get stricter with increased competition—aid is offered based solely on need, not merit.

In addition to need-based aid, Davidson also offers the James B. Duke Scholarship. This scholarship covers full tuition and is offered to a limited number of exceptionally talented students each year, based on factors such as academic achievement, leadership qualities, and potential for impact in their field.
