What are the options for ETSU scholarships for international students?

I'm considering applying to East Tennessee State University (ETSU) and was wondering about the scholarship opportunities available for international students there. Does anyone know what scholarships might be available and how to apply?

East Tennessee State University (ETSU) offers a number of scholarships directed specifically towards international students. One of the main ones is the International Students Academic Merit Scholarship.

The International Students Academic Merit Scholarship covers 50% of the total of in and out-of-state tuition and maintenance fees only and awards can range from up to $4,000 to $8,000 per year. This award also doesn't cover application, service, lab, activity, differential tuition, course or test fees.

This scholarship is available for new international students seeking a graduate or undergraduate degree. The award is available for eight semesters for undergraduate recipients, five semesters for recipients seeking a Master's degree, and eight semesters for doctoral students.

To be eligible, you must apply for admission to ETSU before you can apply for the scholarship, and you must have an F-1 or J-1 student visa. Freshman must have a 3.0 high school GPA, and undergraduate transfer students must have a 3.0 college GPA. For graduate students, the score requirements vary by program, so I recommend checking the specific department's requirements.

The scholarship application deadline for the fall semester is no later than June 1st. For students applying for spring, the application deadline is no later than October 1st. To maintain the scholarship, students must keep a 2.75 GPA at ETSU.
