What's the student vibe like at Yale?

Yale is my dream school, and I'm curious about what the student population is like in terms of diversity and community. How do students there interact and what’s the campus culture?

Based on what I've heard from students, Yale is often described as having a welcoming, supportive, and collaborative environment with a vibrant and diverse student body. The residential college system at Yale plays a huge role in shaping this community vibe, since students live, eat, and participate in a variety of activities with the same group of people throughout their time at Yale. This creates a smaller, more intimate community within the larger University.

The student body at Yale is indeed diverse, with students coming from a wide range of backgrounds, perspectives, and interests. Yale has students from every state in the United States and from around 120 foreign countries, representing a breadth of experiences.

Academically, students at Yale are known for their intellectual curiosity. They often engage in dynamic conversations inside and outside the classroom.
