How does BC's ranking affect its reputation?

I've been looking at BC (Boston College) and noticed its ranking has changed. Does this impact its reputation among students and employers? I’m curious if rankings reflect the actual student experience and opportunities.

It's important to realize that college rankings, while a helpful starting point, should not be the sole determiner when choosing a college.
