What are some $100k jobs for someone with just a high school diploma?

I'm trying to plan my future and I'm interested in finding high-paying jobs that don't require a college degree. Does anyone know of jobs that pay $100k or more annually for those with only a high school diploma?

It's important to note that while there are certainly jobs that pay over $100,000 per year without the requirement of a college degree, they often require a certain set of skills obtained through job-specific training, certifications, apprenticeships, or considerable experience. Success is largely driven by work ethic, professionalism, and a continual desire to learn and grow in one's field. Here are a few examples:

1. Air Traffic Controllers: They ensure aircrafts move safely, in an organized manner, on the ground and in the air. Many controllers attend the Federal Aviation Administration's training program.

2. Nuclear Power Reactor Operators: They manage the flow of electricity from nuclear power plants. Operators need a high school diploma as well as several years of on-the-job training.

3. Commercial Pilots: They can make a significant income once they build up flight hours. Many receive their training from the military, or attend flight training schools certified by the Federal Aviation Administration.

4. Real Estate Brokers: They earn a commission based on the selling price of properties, so the earning potential can be high in a strong housing market. Licensing is typically required, and brokers must pass a written examination.

5. Power Plant Operators: They control the systems that generate and distribute electric power, requiring specialized on-the-job training.

6. Elevator Installers and Repairers: This often involves completing a union or contractor sponsored apprenticeship.

7. Police and Detectives Supervisor: They generally need to have prior experience in a law enforcement role before moving into a supervisory position.

Remember, these jobs usually require significant training and time to reach that salary level. It's also worth considering the cost of living in your particular area, as salaries can vary dramatically depending on where you live. And remember, while income is certainly an important factor in choosing a career, you should also consider job satisfaction, personal interests, physical demands, and work-life balance.
