Jobs to aim for after high school?

I'm focused on lining up a career I can start directly after graduation. Can anyone recommend careers that I should consider aiming for right after high school? I'm open to various fields, but not sure where to start.

You've got a few options depending on what you're interested in and what you're open to. Let's look at fields like tech, trades, healthcare, and business.

In tech, entry-level IT roles like a help desk technician or a computer support specialist could be a great place to start. Many companies offer on-the-job training, so there may not be a need for a degree.

For trade careers, you may want to consider roles like a plumber, electrician, or HVAC technician. Such trades often require an apprenticeship period before becoming fully licensed, but offer good wages and job security.

If healthcare interests you, you could train as a certified nursing assistant (CNA), a medical assistant, or a phlebotomist. These roles usually require certification programs that can be completed within a year.

Finally, in business, entry-level roles such as customer service representatives or sales associates can provide valuable experience. You could even consider climbing the corporate ladder from an entry-level role.

Remember, while these jobs often don't require a degree, they do require training and certification. It's essential to consider the time and cost commitment of the training or certification needed for these careers. Keep in mind your interests and long-term career goals while making this decision.
