What's appealing about going to University of San Diego?

San Diego is a dream location, but I'm curious if anyone can share insights about the University of San Diego itself. How does it compare to other California schools in terms of student life, and what are its strongest programs?

The University of San Diego (USD) is a thriving private college with a lot to offer! For one, it's known for its strong business program, particularly the MBA, supported by its School of Business. The college also has hard-hitting programs in Biology, International Relations, and Nursing.

As for student life, USD, has a vibrant community with over a hundred student organizations spanning a wide array of interests, including cultural clubs, dance troupes, and community service groups. Additionally, USD's strong commitment to global study would pique interest for any student interested in embodying a global citizen perspective in their education.

Campus life is also bolstered by the beautiful campus, regarded as one of the most beautiful in the nation. This enhances the student experience, leaving a lasting impression on those that visit and those who decide to attend.

When compared to other California universities, USD is somewhat unique due to its smaller size. Boasting a student-to-faculty ratio of 14:1, USD can offer intimate classroom experiences and individualized attention that large public universities may not provide. This small size also nurtures a strong sense of community that can feel like a 'home away from home' for many students.

However, like any college, it's important to visit, if possible, to understand if its offerings and environment align with what you're looking for in your college experience. Don't hesitate to reach out to current students, professors, or alumni to get a feel for what life at USD really looks like. Personalized information will always be the most helpful in your decision. Good luck!
