How legit are UNLV's online degrees?

I'm thinking about pursuing an online degree from UNLV, but I'm not entirely sure how credible their online programs are. Are there any current or past online students who can share their experiences and how employers view these degrees?

Online degrees have come a long way in the past few years, and many are now seen as equivalent to their on-campus counterparts. The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) is an accredited institution with several of its programs earning high rankings, and this recognition extends to its online programs as well.

It’s key to note, though, that the respect given to an online degree can vary based on the specific field of study and the individual employer. Some fields are more accepting of online degrees than others. However, the evidence is now overwhelming that employers generally do accept online degrees, and, in many cases, they don't distinguish between online and traditional degrees.

If you're interested in a specific program at UNLV, I would encourage you to research the quality of that particular program. Look at factors like the graduation rate, job placement rate, and any special accreditation the program may have. Also, don't be shy about reaching out to the academic department – they can provide insight into how the program is structured and whether it has been successful for past graduates.

Remember that in an online program, you’ll also need to be self-motivated, organized, and comfortable with technology, as these are critical elements for success in an online environment. Good luck!
