What are some good jobs you can get after high school?

I'm considering going straight into the workforce after graduation rather than college. Does anyone have suggestions on good jobs you can get right out of high school? I'm looking for something stable and with growth potential.

There are numerous paths to stable and rewarding employment if you're considering directly entering the workforce after high school, even without a college degree. Many trades offer employment opportunities that may be a good fit, depending on your interests and skills.

1. Information Technology Professionals: With numerous resources online for free or low-cost, anyone can teach themselves coding, computer support, or network management. IT jobs often care more about what you can do than your formal education.

2. Real Estate Agent: A high school diploma is enough to start in this field. You'll need to take a pre-licensing course and pass the real estate licensing exam in your state, but the earning potential can be quite high if you're good at sales and marketing.

3. Commercial Driver: If you like to travel, you might consider becoming a commercial driver, such as a truck driver. Some trucking companies even offer free training programs for new drivers.

4. Emergency Medical Technician (EMT): Becoming an EMT requires a high school diploma and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification. This job can be demanding but also rewarding if you have a desire to help others in emergencies.

5. Sales Representative: For businesses such as pharmaceuticals, wholesale goods, or manufacturing, sales reps can make a comfortable salary. These roles often don't require much more than a high school diploma and good communication skills.

6. Military Service: If you're interested in serving your country while gaining job skills and earning benefits like financial assistance for future education, a military career can be a good option.

Every job will have different entry-level requirements and advancement opportunities, so it's important to research each one thoroughly to see if it aligns with your long-term career goals. Here's a tip: having certifications in a specific field can make you a more attractive candidate, so look for opportunities to obtain relevant certifications to increase your job prospects.
