Best Entry Level Jobs for High School Graduates?

I'm graduating from high school soon and not planning on going to college. What are the best entry-level jobs out there for a fresh high school graduate like me? Should I look into any specific industries or companies?

There's a multitude of entry-level jobs that you can consider right after high school, many of which provide on-the-job training and growth opportunities. Here are a few possibilities:

1. Trade Jobs: Many trades don't require a college degree and offer apprenticeships where you can earn while you learn. Electricians, plumbers, or HVAC technicians fall under this category. These jobs often provide stable employment, good wages and opportunities to start your own business in the future.

2. Healthcare Support Jobs: Positions like certified nursing assistants (CNAs), home health aides, or phlebotomists often require short term certification programs instead of a traditional college degree. These roles can provide good experience if you're interested in healthcare without having to commit to years of study upfront.

3. Retail/Service Industry Jobs: Although these positions may not be as well-paying compared to others, jobs in retail or the service industry, like customer service representatives, can help build skills (like communication and problem solving) that are valuable in all professions.

4. Sales Representatives: Many companies are willing to train motivated individuals to sell their products or services. This line of work can be lucrative depending on your personal aptitude and the commission structure of the company.

5. Administrative Assistants: This role can be a good starting point to get into fields like business or finance. It offers an opportunity to observe different roles in the company and can often lead to promotional opportunities.

6. Construction and Extraction Jobs: These jobs pay a decent wage and offer the ability to learn a diverse set of skills. Positions could include construction laborers, helpers, or drilling operatives.

7. Public Safety Occupations: Firefighting or starting as a police officer only requires a high school diploma in some towns or cities, and provide job security, community respect, and decent salaries.

Just remember, different industries have different entry requirements. The key is to find something you're interested in and reach out to companies or trade unions to see what opportunities are available.
