Great job options right out of high school?

I'm a senior about to graduate and I’m not planning to go to college immediately. What are some of the best job opportunities available for those right out of high school? Looking for something that provides good experience and pays well.

There are several rewarding careers you can enter straight out of high school that offer decent pay and workforce experience. Here are a few examples:

1. Skilled Trades: Skilled trades such as plumbing, electrical work, or carpentry can be excellent choices. They often require an apprenticeship, but you're generally paid during that period, and they can ultimately lead to good salaries.

2. Entry-Level Tech Jobs: Thanks to coding bootcamps and online resources, learning basic coding skills is accessible to many people. Entry-level positions in IT and tech support often don't require a degree and can offer a foothold into the tech industry.

3. Emergency Medical Technician (EMT): Though this job requires certification, the process is relatively short compared to a college degree. As an EMT, you'll gain crucial experience in the healthcare industry.

4. Military Service: The military provides training in a variety of fields, along with benefits like housing allowances and potential assistance for future education.

5. Sales Associate/Representative: Many sales roles don't require a degree. While they might start with a base salary, they often include performance-based bonuses or commissions.

6. Real Estate Agent: You will need to obtain a real estate license, but the process is generally inexpensive and can be completed in a few months. Success depends significantly on your determination, interpersonal skills, and salesmanship.

7. Customer Service Representative: Roles in customer service can range from call center agents to in-store representatives. They often require no specific qualifications aside from good communication skills.

Remember that the success in these roles can greatly depend on your interest, aptitude, and commitment to growing your skills in your chosen field. It's always a good idea to research, and possibly gain first-hand experience through internships or part-time jobs in the field, before fully committing.
