University of Waterloo undergrad scholarships for international students?

I'm very interested in attending the University of Waterloo. Does anyone know about the undergraduate scholarships available for international students? How competitive are these scholarships, and what's the application process like?

The University of Waterloo offers a variety of scholarships and financial aid opportunities for international students. Here are a few you might consider:

1. International Student Entrance Scholarships: These are merit-based scholarships awarded to undergraduate international students entering their first year based on academic achievement. The value of these scholarships ranges from $10,000 to $20,000.

2. President's Scholarship of Distinction: This is another merit-based scholarship with a value of $2,000. If you achieve a 95% average or above, you’ll be eligible for an additional $1,500 entrance scholarship and a $1,500 International Experience Award to go towards an approved work or volunteer experience.

3. The Outstanding Achievement in Graduate Studies (International Master's and Doctoral Student Awards): It's for graduate students but I included it just in case you or others reading this might be interested.

These scholarships are quite competitive because they're available to all incoming international students. Keep in mind that you may not need to submit separate applications for some of these scholarships; for the ones mentioned, you would automatically be considered when you apply for admission. However, for certain awards, you might need to submit a separate application. I recommend that you research each scholarship you're interested in to understand the eligibility requirements and application processes.

Lastly, scholarships aren't the only form of financial assistance available. International students can also apply for work-study programs, internships, and research assistantships to help finance their living expenses and tuition.

Again, be sure to check the university's official webpage for complete, accurate, and up-to-date information. Good luck!
