St. John's University, situated in New York, is particularly known for its strong programs in several areas. The Peter J. Tobin College of Business is highly respected, and its Risk Management and Insurance program is frequently ranked among the top in the nation. Additionally, the school's Accounting program is also well-regarded regionally. Their St. John’s School of Law is also well-respected and provides numerous networking opportunities, being located in the heart of New York City.

The university is also recognized for its Pharmacy program, which is one of the oldest and largest pharmacy programs in the United States. St. John's offers a unique six-year Doctor of Pharmacy program that can start right after high school, which can be great if you're interested in the healthcare field.

They also have the Institute for Biotechnology which is a well-funded resource for students interested in the sciences, notably biology, biochemistry, and chemistry. It offers both undergraduate and postgraduate research opportunities.

On the topic of campus life, it varies between their two distinct campuses - the Queens campus and Staten Island campus. Both campuses offer a variety of student organizations, sports teams, and Greek life, though the Queens campus tends to be more vibrant with lots of on-campus events and activities due to its larger size.

It's also worth mentioning that St. John's is quite diverse, due to its location in one of the most multicultural cities in the world. The school prides itself on providing a global perspective in the education they offer. Lastly, as a Catholic university, they offer a wealth of spiritual and faith-based resources. However, their student body is quite diverse in religious beliefs, and they are inclusive to all faith traditions.

I hope this gives you a good starting point in your research about St. John's! It's always beneficial to reach out to current students or alumni whenever possible, and of course, visiting the campus (virtually or in-person) can be a tremendous help in getting a feel for the atmosphere and culture.
