Kean University in New Jersey is one of the schools on my list, and I'd love to hear from anyone who's currently attending or has attended. What's the academic and social scene like? Any tips for a prospective student?
While not a student, I work closely with several who attend Kean University. Based on their feedback, I've heard great things about the diversity of the student body, which can provide enriching classroom discussions and a vibrant social scene. There are many opportunities for student involvement, with numerous clubs, organizations, and intramural sports.
Professors are generally supportive and keen on student success, which is a big plus. The class sizes are relatively small, especially once you get into your major-specific classes, which makes it easier to actively participate and connect with your professors. Students often mention the benefit of getting to know their professors early, as they can be helpful not just academically but also for networking or internship opportunities in their fields.
As for tips, take advantage of the academic resources available like the tutoring center and career services. They can be invaluable, especially as you progress further in your studies or start looking for internships/jobs.
