Exploring West Texas A&M University: Worth it?

I'm thinking about heading to Texas for college and West Texas A&M caught my eye. Does anyone know about the vibe and academics there? Is it a good choice?

West Texas A&M University, often known as WTAMU or West Texas A&M, is a comprehensive public university located in Canyon, Texas. It has a strong emphasis on research and is part of the Texas A&M University System which is known for its culture of academic excellence.

With respect to the academic profile, WTAMU offers a variety of degree programs, including strong programs in education, business, and nursing. The student to faculty ratio is 20:1, which allows for a decent amount of personalized attention in your classes.

The university environment is considered friendly and inclusive. Being located in Canyon, it offers a small-town community vibe but still offers plenty of activities and opportunities due to its proximity to Amarillo, a larger city nearby.
