Is CCNY in New York a good fit for business majors?

I'm considering City College of New York for my business major and would love to know about the program's reputation and opportunities for internships. If anyone can share their experiences or insights, that would be super helpful!

City College of New York (CCNY) has indeed a very respectable Business program through its School of Business that offers both B.S. in Business and a B.A. in Economics. Their curriculum combines business fundamentals with an emphasis on innovation, globalization, sustainability, and ethics which prepares students for the modern business world.

As for the opportunities for internships, being in New York City, the commercial capital of the country, is a great advantage. CCNY students can tap into a large network of businesses right in their backyard. Wall Street, Silicon Alley, and numerous multinational headquarters being nearby, means students can access internships and work experience in a wide range of companies from startups to established corporations.

Bear in mind though that competition for internships in New York City can be intense, given the number of colleges and business schools in the area. Hence, you should be proactive in seeking these opportunities, networking, and utilizing CCNY's career services from early on.

Do remember, however, the best fit will depend on your own goals and needs. Evaluate the factors important to you, like class size, culture, faculty accessibility, and more while considering any college. College is not just about the prestige of the program. It's about how well it meets your individual needs and goals, and the experiences you have there.
