How big is Oregon State University in terms of student population?

I'm considering applying to Oregon State University and I want to understand the size of the student body. Does anyone know how large the student population is and what the campus environment is like?

Oregon State University has a substantial student body, with an enrollment of over 30,000 students. This includes both undergraduate and graduate students. With such a considerable student population, you'll find a lively, bustling campus environment with diverse people, activities, and areas of study.

The large community leads to a wide variety of student organizations, clubs, and sports, giving you plenty of opportunities to meet new people and get involved. Additionally, despite its size, many students still praise OSU for its sense of community and the ongoing efforts to make everyone feel welcome and included.

While it's a large university, the student to faculty ratio remains fairly low at around 17:1. This ensures that you'll still have opportunities for more personalized, meaningful interaction with professors and not just in a large lecture hall setting with dozens of other students.

Remember, a large school offers a breadth of resources and opportunities, but it also necessitates more independence and initiative from students. So, if you prefer smaller, more intimate class sizes and have specific needs for academic support, you might want to consider if a large university is the right fit for you.
