Any recommendations for theatre colleges?

I'm really passionate about theater and considering pursuing it in college. Can anyone recommend some great theater colleges? I'm open to different locations but want a strong program.

Sure, there are several colleges renowned for their strong theatre programs that you might want to consider.

1. Juilliard School (New York): Known as one of the top performing arts schools in the world, Juilliard’s top-notch faculty and rigorous training ensure that only the most skilled and committed actors emerge from their program.

2. Tisch School of the Arts at New York University (New York): Known for its dedicated faculty, diverse course offerings, and access to a multitude of theatre opportunities in New York City.

3. Carnegie Mellon University (Pennsylvania): Their School of Drama is the oldest drama degree-granting program in the U.S, with a rich history of producing successful actors, designers, and artists.

4. University of Southern California (California): USC's School of Dramatic Arts offers programs both in acting and in theatre studies, giving students a well-rounded education in all aspects of theatre.

5. Yale University (Connecticut): Yale's undergraduate theatre studies major is designed to provide a broad understanding of the theatrical arts, and you can't forget their renowned graduate drama school program.

6. Northwestern University (Illinois): Northwestern's Theatre major provides a solid liberal arts grounding combined with intensive studies in all aspects of theatre.

I would also recommend looking for colleges that have a good balance between practical training and academics. Also, visiting the campuses, if possible, can give you a feel for the communities and opportunities each program provides. You might want to look for opportunities to interact with faculty and students, and opportunities to perform starting from your first year, rather than waiting until you're an upperclassman.
