Opinions on UConn engineering ranking?

I'm looking into engineering programs and UConn came up as an option. How does its engineering program rank compared to others? Would love any insights from current students or recent grads!

As a resource, the U.S. News and World Report ranks the University of Connecticut (UConn) School of Engineering 63rd on the list of Best Engineering Schools in the nation. Keep in mind too, different engineering concentrations could have slightly different rankings.

While rankings can definitely be helpful as a starting point, they also shouldn't be the only measure of a program's quality. UConn's engineering school has strengths in various areas, including solid faculty resources, a variety of research opportunities, and a robust co-op and internship program. Additionally, the school offers 13 different engineering concentrations, which means there are lots of ways you could pursue your interests in engineering.

In terms of student experiences, many benefit from focused faculty support, strong peer collaboration, and the opportunity to work on real-world projects even as undergraduates. The surrounding industry partnerships can also provide a strong network for potential internships, co-ops, and job placements upon graduation.

Weighing these factors, along with your individual learning style, interests in specific engineering subsets, and preferred kind of college experience, would give you a more holistic view of UConn's engineering program, and whether it's the right fit for you.
