When is the University of North Texas admission deadline?

Hey all, I'm planning to apply to the University of North Texas and want to make sure I don't miss any deadlines. Does anyone know when their admission deadline is? I'd appreciate any details on early vs. regular decision too!

For the University of North Texas (UNT), the application deadlines follow a rolling admission process, meaning you can apply at any time throughout the year. However, there are recommended priority dates that will allow you to receive the best possible financial aid package, housing preferences, and course selections. The priority deadlines are as follows:

- For the Fall semester: March 1

- For the Spring semester: November 1

- For the Summer semester: April 1

Regarding Early Decision (ED) or Early Action (EA) deadlines, UNT does not offer these options. It is highly recommended to complete and submit your application as soon as possible, ideally before the priority dates, to ensure the best chance of acceptance, selection of your desired major, and financial aid. Remember to complete your FAFSA as well, preferably before the priority deadline of January 15. Remember, these are priority dates, and that means the earlier you apply, the better. This gives you more time to focus on other aspects of your application such as your essays, and you'll hear back early as well.

Keep in mind that UNT's financial aid priority date is January 15. The majority of funds are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, according to financial need. To receive the earliest possible consideration for financial aid, you should submit your FAFSA as soon as possible after October 1.

Also be on the lookout for any scholarship deadlines. At UNT, newly admitted freshmen and transfer students are automatically considered for merit-based scholarships, so there’s not a separate application, but you must be admitted by March 1 to ensure consideration for these scholarships. Other scholarship opportunities may have their own deadlines, so make sure to check those out as well.

Good luck with your application!
