How are majors at Cal Poly ranked in the STEM fields?

I'm interested in pursuing a STEM major and I've heard great things about Cal Poly. Can anyone shed light on how their STEM programs are ranked or regarded? Specifically interested in engineering and computer science.

Cal Poly, formally known as California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, is especially renowned for its College of Engineering. The College of Engineering at Cal Poly has been recognized as one of the best engineering schools in the nation, especially when considering schools that primarily offer bachelor's and master's degrees. The engineering programs at Cal Poly are famously hands-on and project-based, which is something that both students and employers appreciate.

As for Computer Science, it's a part of the College of Engineering at Cal Poly and also has a strong reputation. The Computer Science department's focus on practical, hands-on learning combined with a robust theoretical foundation prepares students well for the job market.

However, specific rankings can vary depending on the source, as ranking methodologies can differ significantly. So while Cal Poly's engineering and computer science are highly regarded, it's important to look beyond rankings and consider other factors like faculty, learning style, resources, internships, job placement rates, and whether the college's environment will be a great fit for you.
