Good Business Universities in New York

I'm looking for strong business programs in New York. What are some of the best universities for a business degree in the state that I should think about applying to?

New York has several universities with reputable business programs under their belt. Here are some that you might want to consider:

1. New York University (NYU): Perhaps the most notable among these is NYU's Leonard N. Stern School of Business, which consistently ranks highly among national and global business schools. The Stern School is renowned for its strong finance program, and extensive alumni network, and its location in Manhattan offers excellent internships and networking opportunities.

2. Columbia University: While best known for its MBA program, Columbia also offers robust undergraduate business education through its Economics and Business Management programs. Note that Columbia University doesn't have an undergraduate business school per se, but its proximity to Wall Street and a strong focus on economics and entrepreneurship offer similar advantages.

3. Cornell University: Cornell's Dyson School (located in their College of Agriculture and Life Sciences) and the School of Hotel Administration (in the SC Johnson College of Business) are both excellent choices for students interested in studying business. The former offers an Applied Economics and Management Degree while the latter focuses on hospitality management.

4. University of Rochester: Their Simon Business School offers an undergraduate business program where students can concentrate in areas from finance and accounting to marketing, operations, and data analytics.

5. Syracuse University: The Whitman School of Management at Syracuse provides a comprehensive business curriculum.

6. Fordham University: Fordham’s Gabelli School of Business also prepares students for a wide range of business fields.

7. Baruch College (CUNY): Known for its Zicklin School of Business, it offers a selection of business majors and minors and is located in the heart of NYC.

Remember, if possible, visit these campuses and try to speak to current students from the business programs to get a firsthand perspective on what studying there is like! Be also sure to consider each school's culture, size, and location to determine which might be the best fit for you.
