Good public high schools in California recommendations?

I'm looking at potential public high schools in California and want to know which ones are considered good. It would be awesome if they had strong science and engineering programs. Any insights?

California is home to many excellent public high schools with strong science and engineering programs. Here are some you might want to consider:

1. Lowell High School in San Francisco: Known for rigorous academics and a renowned science curriculum. It offers a wide range of advanced placement courses, particularly in the fields of science and engineering.

2. Monta Vista High School in Cupertino: As part of the renowned Fremont Union High School District, it is known for its competitive academic environment and strong STEM programs.

3. Henry M. Gunn High School in Palo Alto: Well-regarded for its Advanced Placement (AP) program and a strong focus on STEM subjects.

4. Granada Hills Charter High School in Los Angeles: This school has an extensive variety of science and engineering courses, as well as AP offerings.

5. Mission San Jose High School in Fremont: Highly noted for its rigorous academic programs, particularly in the math, science, and engineering fields.

6. Troy High School in Fullerton: Troy has the Troy Tech program, which offers specialized electives in technology and engineering, as well as core science classes that have a tech focus.

Remember to consider factors beyond just academics when choosing a high school—such as location, student body size, extracurricular activities, and, most importantly, the school environment and whether it will be a good fit for you.
